3 Baccarat Game Variations You Should Try Playing Today

Baccarat is one of the leading online betting in malaysia and loved by everyone across the world. The simple rule of the game is to win with the hand that holds the greatest card combination of 9 or close to 9 by betting on two sides, the Player or the Banker. Widely been played by anyone in the field of gambling, you couldn’t miss this table game in every casino. With its simple yet engaging game of chances with cards, it’s not a surprise it has been transmuted to different variations.

Learn These 3 Famous Baccarat Variations:

1. Chemin De Fer Baccarat

This is the Baccarat’s variation popularly played along with many French Casinos. It has the same goal of having a hand with a value close to 9 or 9, but its role assignment is different from the standard.

In Chemin De Fer, anyone:

  • Can’t bet on Player or Bank, as one player you will be one or the other.
  • Can have the option (as a player) to either draw or stand a card if their totals are lesser than five, and
  • Has the option to play the banker.
  • Can play against other players.

Note: The house stands as the broker and collects

In this game, players wager and the bank circles along all the players in a round. A croupier (Dealer) stands between the first and the last player. The banker’s part can be declined; thus it will be passed on to the next player to the right. The shoe (the box where all the cards are placed) will move counterclockwise around the table.

The banker wagers the amount he wants to risk. Others are mandated to play and match the amount the entire current bank has. Once the wagers are settled, the banker deals four cards face down, two for him and two for the remaining players.

If a player exceeds the amount the bank has, he/e she will be considered as the representative of all the players.  If the banker’s hand exceeds the player’s hand, all wagers are forfeit and placed into the bank, and the banker position doesn’t change. If there is a tie, wages stay the same for the next hand.

A banker will be replaced with another banker if he wishes to withdraw, only if the replacing player could stake an equal amount to the current bank’s total. If no one wishes, the new banker will be the next in order, and the bank amount will then reset to whatever that player wishes to stake.

2. Baccarat en Banque

Unlike Chermin De Fer, the player who has the greatest amount of money will be considered the banker—the thing isn’t the same with Baccarat En Banque. It’s a European game variation of Baccarat which implements a rule that the house (a casino representative) will play the sole role of the banker. The aim of the game is the usual—one has to have the hand with a combination close to 9 or 9 to win.

Since the casino plays the part of the Baker: bets can be much enormous compared to when a player plays the role.

Three hands will be given, one for the bank’s hand and two for the player’s hands. Players can never bet on the dealer’s hand. They are only allowed to bet on one or both of the player’s hands. In Baccarat en Banque, there are no specific drawing rules. Take note that the dealer will change the card drawing rules, but be mindful that it is only done to add up on his winning possibilities.

3.  European Baccarat

It’s has a major difference with the widely known American Baccarat. In this variation, you can stand or draw if your card is on 5 totals, while the banker can draw a third card. It has the same aim; get a hand combination close to 9 or 9 but on this one: the casino is the one who holds and finances the banker’s hand.

This is simply explained through this example:  the Banker has a $2,500. The player bets $2,500 while the second player wagers an amount of like $750. From there, no any players are allowed to bet.

Another fold of this European rule is when one player desires to match the banker’s bet. He will raise a “Banco” and again, no players can bet during that round with the Player and the Banker alone. But then, a player who wishes to bet along with the bank in the chances of winning are compromised with the 5% commission of the winnings on each bet.

Summing up each Baccarat variation:

 Standing and Drawing Option

  • Chemin De Fer players both have options to either stand or draw on a card combination of total
  • In both Baccarat en Banque and European Baccarat, the banker will always have the option to either draw a third card

How Cards Are Dealt

  • Chemin De Fer and European Baccarat’s player and Banker are dealt two cards
  • Baccarat en Banque provides hands that are one for the player and two banker’s hands.

Who Plays the Banker

  • Chermin De Fer: Any player can be the banker
  • European and Baccarat en Banque: A casino representative plays the part

Fees and Commission

  • Chemin De Fer collects a fee from the winnings of each banker
  • European and Baccarat en Banque charges a 5% commission of the winnings of each bet.
